Sieging (Rules)

From Barbarians of Gor

Updated 12/6/23 When our basic PvP rules don't meet the players needs we require players to open a discord ticket to discuss their goals. This can apply to any number of scenarios including: claiming/attacking an abandoned base, sieging another clan's base, sieging an NPC base which is part of an ongoing staff lead storyline, setting up your own server wide plot lines, etc. Read this page and open a moderation ticket.

Points for Negotiation
  1. When? A specific time, a selection of times?
  2. Where? At the actual in-game base? On a test server version? Build off the map?
  3. Who? Thralls? Slaves? Free Woman?
  4. Role-play lead up? Role-play aftermath?
  5. Victory condition
  6. What items can be taken after PvP

Example Process

This is an example of how players have gone about "claiming/destroying" a base that appears to be abandoned because they do not want to wait for Admin's to clear out inactive clans/players. A modified version of this was also used by on RP Hub to siege another hub in Season 2.

Day 1: Open a moderation ticket in Discord and advise the Admins of your intention. Please tell us what clan you wish to siege, its map location, and your ooc goals. Give us 24 hours to respond and perform due diligence including by not limited to adding the target clan leader to the ticket.

Day 2: Post a rumor suggesting that there will be an siege/attack on the clan base. Tag the target clan's owner in this post, if they have registered.

Day 5: After 72 hours you may post three consecutive events in the discord.

Day 6: Sieging clan has their first posted event for a minimum of an hour.

Day 7: Sieging clan has their second posted event for a minimum of an hour.

Day 8: Sieging clan has their third posted event for a minimum of an hour. At the end of that hour, assuming an admin is available negotiated solution can be implemented.
